Dr. Pelaprat obtained her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology at William James College (formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) in 2009, with a specialty in forensic psychology. Her graduate training included substance abuse treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, clinical work with forensic populations, psychological testing and assessment, group and individual therapy, forensic evaluation, and risk assessment. She completed her post-doctoral training at the Worcester Juvenile Court Clinic conducting comprehensive psychological and forensic evaluations of adolescents and their families.
Dr. Pelaprat worked in the Massachusetts Juvenile Court Clinic system for over thirteen years conducting a wide variety of forensic evaluations. She has also worked a Lecturer in Suffolk University’s Mental Health Counseling program.
Dr. Pelaprat has provided expert testimony to the courts on a variety of topics including adolescent brain development and risk assessment. She has presented at various trainings as well.
